How We’ll Work Together…

1. Getting to Know You

However we first connect, whether you’ve reached out directly or your funeral director has put us in touch, I’ll aim to call you within 24 hours. This is just a friendly first conversation, so I can understand a little about your loved one and how I can help.

From there, we’ll arrange a time to sit down together, at your home, over a video call, or wherever feels most comfortable for you. There’s no rush here. I’ll ask about your loved one’s life: their story, their personality, the moments and memories that mattered most. You’re welcome to invite other family or friends who’d like to be part of this conversation too.

2. Writing the Service

From everything we’ve talked about, I’ll write a service that’s entirely personal to your loved one, weaving in their story alongside any music, readings, poems, or reflections you’d like included, whether that’s rooted in faith or entirely without religious elements. I’ll send you a draft to look over, so you can suggest any changes before the day itself. Between our first meeting and the funeral, I’m always just a phone call, email, or video chat away if anything needs adding, changing, or simply talking through.

3. On the Day

I’ll arrive well ahead of time and work closely with your funeral director to make sure everything runs smoothly. I’ll deliver the service with care and warmth and I’ll stay afterwards too, so there’s no need to rush your goodbyes.
